12 vols. 8vo. Marshall Kirkman (1842 –1921) capped a nearly 60-year railroad career by writing a 12 volume treatise on the science of railways, first published beginning in 1894. This revised edition was published several years later, along with several supplemental volumes that brought the series to a total of seventeen. Many of the volumes have b/w illustrations, along with tables and indices. CONDITION: Good. The set is clean and solid overall, but most of the volumes have wear to covers; some of the volumes have minor damage to the interior, including insect damage to several pages in two of the volumes.
