Harry Clarke (1889 –1931) was an Irish stained-glass artist and book illustrator. Born in Dublin, he was a leading figure in the Irish Arts and Crafts Movement. His color illustrations for Poe's tales and other works are highly prized, but his other graphic work is less known. This comprehensive monograph presents some of his early sketches, private drawings, and commercial work -- with as well as the man behind the drawings and designs.
