The magazine was published from 1925-1933 and served as a sounding board for many prominent artists and intellectuals. Issues explored indigenous dances, masks, village festivals, children’s art, the muralist movement, Mexican theater, folk songs, Zapotec rites, the cult of the Virgin, Mesoamerican architecture many other topics. Good. Covers worn at edges and spine but fully intact; some fading and toning along edges, several small water spots; interior is near fine -- bright, and tight. Penciled signature on first leaf.
