Dublin: Dolmen Press, 1986. 1st ed. 8vo, blue cloth. In 1917, Clarke designed nine small stained glass panels for the library his patron, Laurence Waldroon. The inspiration was a 1909 poem by Synge which satirically describes a selection of great women from the past. The panels were sold at auction to a private collector in 1997 for L331,000; a world record for the artist. This is the first book publication. CONDITION: New, pristine copy.
