1st ed thus., 16mo 4½ x 3½. An accordion fold out book with 8 double sided panels with color images by Harbour facing children’s poetry by Hart. Undated but generally presumed to be c. 1925. Publisher’s number ‘950’ at base of final fold. Original silk ties are present as is the scarce publisher’s box. The tales are: The Goose Girl. Red Riding Hood. The Beautiful Princess. Beauty and the Beast. The Sleeping Beauty. The Magic Mirror. Cinderella. Snow-White and Rose-Red. Very good-near fine. All pages are very clean, bright & tight. No marks or inscriptions. Paper cracked at several of the inner fold hinges but no tears, chips, or markings. Exterior is fine. The silk ties are fully intact and in great shape. The box is very good-near fine. Some very light discoloration but no soiling; small chip at top upper left and bottom front corner; remnant of small gummed label on bottom. No cracks or breaks. We have seen several copies of this scarce juvenile and this is the best we have seen by far.
