Art nouveau furniture designs from the 1902 Salon, one of several held in Paris at the turn of the century that introduced and advanced the nouveau revolution in art and design. Forty-three folio-sized sheets [13"x18") containing 130 b/w heliotype photographs of chairs, tables, book cases, beds, and other nouveau furniture. These were printed by Maison Fortier et Marotte, Paris. Condition: Fair; Covers are detached with substantial soiling and chipping. Most of the plates are very good-fine but several are soiled or stained -- most often on the recto but sometimes on verso. The margins are wide so only rarely touching an image.
